About Me
My approach
I approach all clients with warmth and empathy. I offer a welcoming, safe space where clients feel comfortable exploring their inner world.
My training is integrative, meaning I am able to draw upon various approaches to support clients through a range of difficulties in a way that best suits each individual. I understand that life can bring many challenges and recognises the importance of sharing these without the fear of being judged. Whilst my practice is firmly rooted in the principles of the person-centred approach, I also use psychodynamic theory to inform my work. I place great emphasis on the therapeutic relationship and believe in empowering clients to create positive, meaningful change.
I aim to support clients through the therapeutic process by allowing them to identify and investigate patterns of behaviour, thoughts and feelings. Through gaining self awareness clients can move towards a place where they are able to realise their full potential and become more aligned with their authentic selves.
My experience
After obtaining a BSc in Psychology and earning a diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling, I am proud to be a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
My professional journey has provided me with diverse experiences. During my time volunteering at Samaritans, I developed valuable skills in supporting individuals in crisis. As a counsellor at a hospice, I helped clients navigate the complexities of bereavement. Additionally, my work with adults at a low-cost online therapy agency allowed me to engage in more extended therapeutic relationships, addressing a wide range of client issues with sensitivity and empathy.
